I Am Building a Career Which Fits Into the Life I Want to Lead.
It's an incredibly privileged position to be in, I know that for damn sure.
But I dreamt it. Planned it, and built my exit strategy from sport/military coaching over a 3 year period.
I got out because I was living other peoples dreams. Not my own.
I never wanted to watch racing car drivers go round in circles mostly turning left. Coaching people to chase a pig bladder around a pitch, or training Special Forces operators to kick doors in (although this was true meaningful work).
Truth be told. I bolted onto others dreams and never really had any of my own apart from working abroad.
That was step one. What is your vision Josh? Who are you and what do you want for your life?
What does your ideal day and week look like Josh? Because if you don't know, you'll never live it.
It was a very deep and rewarding process. Which is basically a lot of the work I do now with my business Wellness Blueprint.
So far so good. It's hard doing client based work, humans are funny ol'fish sometimes!
I've failed forward so much that I am starting to succeed.
Investing so much time, money and energy WITH the right guidance is a recipe for success.
I've got people in my corner, some formally and some cheerleaders including Brendan Chaplin Aaron Hill Neil_ Ready Dan Howells Zane McCormack who always engage with even my 💩'est posts! I see you all, thank you.
Dream first. Figure your ideal day/week. Track back from there and act consistently. Invest in yourself and your development.
Where are you on your journey?
