Tried and Tested Special Forces Stress Management Technique You Can Use Immediately.

This is super potent for regaining control in chaos and learning to respond and not react.

The 3 R's.

1️⃣ Recognise:
Acknowledge that you are in a stressful situation. It’s challenging and not what you expected. Verbalizing this to yourself can help you accept reality instead of denying it.

2️⃣ Reset:
Ground yourself in the present moment. Develop a personal toolkit of techniques—like breathwork, positive self-talk, or sensory anchors (such as a light pinch or pressing your tongue against your teeth) to help you regain focus. Personally, I use breathwork or gently press my tongue between my incisors when stress mounts.

3️⃣ Refocus:
Ask yourself, "What do I need to do right now?" Identify the essential first steps to take. Commit to revisiting deeper reflections later, setting them aside for the moment.
Then, concentrate on the specific skill you need to execute, whether it's a golf putt, a high-speed corner, or a boardroom presentation.

The reset technique has proven particularly effective for motorsport athletes and corporate clients, allowing for rapid recentering in high-pressure situations.
Each step of this process is crucial, and it requires significant practice!

Yes it bloody does. I've used it for years and have got it down to seconds to gain impact and clarity in some situations I never imagined I'd be in. I coach all my clients with this one.
